Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 1, 2026

Safety Takes is built for filmmakers. We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the service.

What We Collect

When you use Safety Takes, we may collect:

  • —Account information (name, email address, login credentials)
  • —Project information (campaigns, timelines, tasks, notes, and related project data)
  • —Contact information you choose to add (names, email addresses, phone numbers, social links, and notes)
  • —Usage information (basic interactions used to improve reliability, performance, and user experience)

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • —Provide and operate Safety Takes
  • —Save and organize your projects, contacts, and campaign workflows
  • —Maintain security and prevent misuse
  • —Improve performance and usability
  • —Communicate important account, billing, or product-related information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your contact database for our own marketing purposes.

Contact Data

Contacts you add to Safety Takes remain your responsibility.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect, store, and manage any contact information uploaded to the platform.

We may access stored information when reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain security, troubleshoot technical issues, comply with legal obligations, or operate the service.

Third-Party Providers

We may use trusted third-party providers to help operate Safety Takes, including services for hosting, database, and authentication (Base44), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, analytics and tracking, and integrations you choose to connect to the platform.

These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.

If you connect a third-party integration to your workspace, that integration may access information you choose to share with it, subject to the integration provider's own terms and privacy practices.

Payments

Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers. Safety Takes does not store full payment card information on its own servers.

Analytics & Tracking

We may use analytics and tracking technologies that set cookies and collect device and browser information to understand site usage and measure advertising effectiveness.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality.

Free Trial & Account Lifecycle

New accounts begin with a free trial that provides full access for a limited time, without requiring a payment method.

After your trial expires without activating a paid plan, your account enters an inactive grace period: your workspace becomes read-only, but your data is preserved so you can reactivate and continue where you left off.

If your account remains inactive for the full retention period without reactivation, your workspace and all of its data — projects, contacts, tasks, media, messages, and history — are permanently and automatically deleted. This permanent deletion cannot be undone.

What Is Deleted vs. What Is Retained

When your account is permanently deleted following the inactive retention period:

  • —All workspace data is permanently deleted (projects, contacts, tasks, media, messages, campaign history, integrations, and sync records).
  • —Your workspace record is removed.
  • —Your account is marked as deleted and all dashboard access is revoked.

Please note a platform limitation: the underlying authentication login identity (managed by our hosting/authentication provider) may be retained by that provider in a terminal, access-revoked state and may not be fully removable through Safety Takes alone. If you require complete erasure of the login identity itself, contact us and we will direct the request to the authentication provider where possible.

Deleted information may additionally remain in secure infrastructure backups for a limited period before being permanently removed.

Data Retention

If you pause or cancel a paid subscription, your account data remains stored so you can return and continue using the service.

You may also request deletion of your workspace and data at any time through account settings or by contacting us.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information stored within Safety Takes.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • —Access your information
  • —Correct inaccurate information
  • —Request deletion of information
  • —Request information about how your data is used

We will respond to applicable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

Safety Takes is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify users through the platform or by email.
